A dry and sunny Briefing Weekend in the Lakes…

During the second weekend in May, members of the UK Scout Association who will be attending Roverway in Finland gathered together for their final briefing weekend. The weekend was an opportunity for the CMT to deliver important information to Participants and IST that they would need before, during and after Roverway. It also gave members of the contingent another chance to meet up with friends they had made on the previous briefing weekend. Throughout the weekend a number of presentations were delivered by the CMT ranging from Kit to the Pre-Event, and Logistics to Health and Safety. Games and activities were also run in between the presentations so that everyone didn’t fall asleep! One of the highlights of the weekend was the UK contingent kit being handed out, including our very limited and cool buffs!. The weather for this weekend was in stark contrast to the first briefing weekend and we were extremely lucky to have plenty of sunshine (although I am sure there are members of the contingent who would have loved another mass snowball fight). The next time the contingent will all be together will be for the Pre-Event in Helsinki on Wednesday 18th July.

All the presentations and other important information from the weekend has been uploaded here. Don’t forget to complete the feedback survey!

See you in Finland!
